Gained in Translation is a group of top notch musicians whose multi language, genre-hopping musical repertoire will take you from the subtle beauty of bossa-nova to the sheer exuberance of Russian Gypsy music, and everything in between! Come listen and dance to the favorites both familiar (and not so familiar!) by Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Dean Martin, Jobim, Los Panchos, Aznavour, Piaf and others. The group will be singing in: French, Ukrainian, Russian, Gypsy, Portuguese and Creole, Japanese, German, Swahili, Italian, Spanish & Yiddish. Beautiful music and languages presented to you by Maurice Methot: rhythm guitar, vocals, Chris Brooks : lead guitar, vocals, Julie Fischer: bass, Victoria Richter on accordion, vocals.
