ArgentinianTango Classes
Wednesdays at 7pm, starting August 5!
From the Teacher-Artist:
My name is Laura, and I’m originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the birthplace (la cuna) of Argentine Tango. Since moving to Rhode Island, I’ve been dreaming of sharing a piece of my culture through dance, something that has always been close to my heart, and it's becoming a reality!
I began my tango journey at Escuela Internacional de Tango in Buenos Aires, where I had the opportunity to study with many talented instructors. My education continues today under the guidance of Hernán Brizuela, because I believe tango is a lifelong journey of learning, growth, and discovery.
For me, tango is much more than learning steps or memorizing choreography. It is an opportunity to have a beautiful conversation between two people, built on connection, communication, trust, and mutual respect. It reflects the values that bring communities together and reminds us that every dance, just like every relationship, begins with a single step and a willingness to connect.
For many years, I've dreamed of creating a tango community where people of all backgrounds feel welcome. A space where we not only learn to dance but also explore the rich traditions, music, history, and passionate culture of Argentina. Whether you have danced before or have never taken your first tango step, this is a place to learn, laugh, grow, and build meaningful connections.
I am truly honored and excited to collaborate with this wonderful organization and to share this passion with all of you. My hope is that together we'll create a welcoming community where everyone feels inspired to experience the beauty of Argentine Tango.
I can't wait to meet each of you and begin this journey together.
¡Thank you! Let's take our first steps together
