English Classes and 1-1 Tutoring

Our group English classes are ongoing, so you may join at any time. All of our teachers are devoted volunteers with backgrounds ranging from former professors, artists, writers, and scholars! While studying English through open discussions, readings, and verbal practice, you can bolster your knowledge, build connections and become part of our IHRI family. 1-1 Tutoring can also be arranged.

Potluck

During our weekly potlucks, students, teachers, volunteers, members, friends, and staff gather together in conversation and get to know each other better as we enjoy our lunch. Join us every Thursday at International House at 12:30 PM for a weekly informal potluck gathering and bring a dish to share!

We hope to see you there!

Annual Burns Night Supper

Our Annual Burns’ Night Supper celebrates the life and work of Robert Burns by sharing Scottish poems, food, and songs. In a typical year, we host 60+ people in the house as we delight in traditional Haggis, sweetbread, and plenty more. Among the phenomenal songs and poetry shared, one of the highlights of the night is the bagpipe music that travels through our staircase and into the lively main room of the house.
