Giving & Donations
International House of Rhode Island is an independent nonprofit organization 501 (c) (3), which relies on community support by its members, donations, and grants. The International House is committed to promoting international understanding through social, educational activities and programs in a safe environment.
We provide a “home away from home” for international students, scholars, professors, researchers, business community, and their families. We enhance the local community by building cultural awareness and knowledge of the world through programs created with the distinct purpose of increasing connection, celebrating similarities and differences and envisioning a world in which friendship and understanding overwhelm anonymity, isolation, and ignorance.
Ways to Give
International House of Rhode Island accepts General Donations via cash, check, or major credit cards. Another way to give is to become a Member, which will help support our mission and give you a chance to form friendship with people from all over the world and receive a discount for our events. We have also partnered with the Rhode Island Foundation to offer Planned Giving options.
Donations can be mailed or delivered directly to 8 Stimson, Providence, RI 02906. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation cash donations are tax deductible (check with your tax adviser for details).

We know that you would like to help us but may not know how. One idea you might consider is a charitable bequest. Your bequest is important because it will help International House of Rhode Island continue our mission into the future.
Save Our Building
Our historic building, designed by Rhode Island architect Edward I Nickerson (1845-1908), is a true "home-away-from-home" for international visitors and students to our State. The building is always in need always in need of updates and restoration.
The exquisite woodwork, brownstone entrance, yellow roman bricks, stained glass, and copper detailing all need constant attention. Our goal is to maintain and enhance the rich beauty of our building in perpetuity: THE GOLD KEY SOCIETY. A plaque with donors names will be proudly hung in the house to acknowledge each gift of $1,000 an more. 100% of the donation will go to projects that will maintain our House. Please become a part of the legacy to preserve the past, present, and future of this lovely building. Thank You.
