A Meal from the Levant

Featuring foods from the Eastern Mediterranean, which includes Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Iraq and Palestine – Menu: Maqluba (eggplant, chicken, cauliflower, caramelized onions, rice); Mujaddara (rice and lentils with crispy onions); Arabic salad/bread; Harissa (dessert).  Tickets are $25.00 for members; $35.00 non-members; $15.00 students.

We are fortunate to include Kevin DeJesus, Assistant Professor of Social Sciences at Johnson & Wales University, who will present a short talk “From the Fertile Crescent to Your Plate: Understanding the Nuances of Food and Culture Across the Levant.”  DeJesus was recently named an Honorary Fellow in affiliation with the University of Aberdeen's Center for Global Development.  His regional focus is the Middle East and Africa.
